Dear PCAM Members,
Last year, members of the PCAM Committee recorded a series of podcasts at Wave Studios in London, examining topics that composers and producers of applied music interact with on a regular basis.
The nine different podcasts are aimed at those interested in creating music for advertisements, and feature PCAM Committee members answering questions frequently posed by both new and established composers in the industry as well as sharing their own personal experiences.
The latest podcast, on the topic of Royalties & Publishing, is available to stream below.
This podcast looks at the difference between a sampled channel and a non-sampled one. Why you need a clock number and how can this help to chase down your royalties. What the future holds for royalties and managing micro payments automatically, as well as looking at royalties in other territories apart from the UK. This week we look into a rather complicated topic which forms an important income stream for composers.
The remaining podcasts will be posted at the rate of one a week and will cover the following topics:
PCAM PODCAST 5: Chasing Late Payments
PCAM PODCAST 6: Sound-alikes
PCAM PODCAST 7: Gear & Technology
PCAM PODCAST 8: How Can I Get Into the Industry?
PCAM PODCAST 9: PCAM Contracts
If you have an idea for a future podcast please send your thoughts to info@pcam.co.uk or tweet us at @PCAMusic.
Best regards,
The PCAM Committee
